| hey, guys. sorry it's been so long since the last post here. just
wanted to say thanks for a great year (three years, really) and that
the final banquet was really moving. anyway, as one of the last things
i'll do for ADVANCE, i just wanted to ask if anyone out there who
subscribes to this blog wanted to be listed as someone the riceADVANCE
subscribes to. if so, respond to this here post and i'll add you.

Chivalry: sexist roots or courtesy? Double standard or practical?
What originated as a code of conduct for battle in the middle ages has
warped into a contemporary idea of gendered behavior. Does chivalry
perpetuate sexism? Is it a good rule of thumb What are the roles in same sex
relationships? Is there still an expectation for chivalrous behavior today?
